Established in 1970, Cape Mentelle vineyards are lucky to be situated in one of the most remote areas in the world, in the south west corner of Western Australia.  The even temperatures that are required to produce excellent vintage conditions for both red and white grapes are guaranteed under the maritime influence of the Indian Ocean.

Cape Mentelle pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and continues to be a benchmark for the area.  Part of the LMVH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) group, Cape Mentelle has a team of three to uphold the winery’s uncompromising commitment to excellence.  Senior Winemaker Robert Mann, Viticulturist Jim White and Winemaker Tim Lovett work closely together to ensure that the Cape Mentelle portfolio continues to be at the leading edge of both quality and style.

Cape Mentelle is very focused on its environmental responsibilities.  The 200 hectares of vineyards are managed with a sustainable viticulture philosophy in mind – both the winery and waste management practices are as close to organic as is possible.
