Veteran journalist and long-time wine enthusiast Quentin Dempster has palate-tested the latest line up of handcrafted wines to be offered as a special deal to Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance members through The Alliance Wine Club.
As chairman of the Walkley Advisory Board, Quentin was invited by Purple Palate, to offer his comments on the six wines, offered for only $120, with free delivery Australia wide.

The Chairman’s Verdict:
The wines offered by Purple Palate for the Alliance Wine Club special are good quality and good value. I found the Allan Scott Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc peachy, crisp and refreshing but not sweet; the Loose End Barossa Grenache greets the palate like an old friend; the Poonawatta Estate Eden Valley Shiraz was peppery and challenging; the Massena Barossa Valley Rose reminded me of long verandah lunches at the Queensland Parliament; the Leabrook Estate Pinot Gris was not too heavy, not too light and Laughing Jack Jack’s Shiraz was full and flavoursome.
