I'm all over this wine. It's everything I want in a Margaret River "classic dry white". Cut grass, lemons, gooseberry and sharp tropical accents whose sweetness is moderated beautifully by the natural acidity the region can achieve. It's got drive right through the palate and a penetrating finish. Super stuff. -JP

I do love Chardonnay... Chardonnay is one of the greatest white wine varieties in the world and this Chardonnay falls into line with crisp natural acidity, whiffs of oak and buttery popcorn. I don't really care what is trendy; I love this wine. It is rich, deep and toasty while exhibiting fresh tropical fruits, malo characters and everything else that should be in a great Chardonnay. The nose shows some serious Fume characters that you would more likely see in the Old World, but it is backed up perfectly with grapefruit, melon and soft tobacco characters. The palate shows generous acidity, creamy texture and lots of lovely French oak, all of which coats your entire tongue and makes your mouth water... - SG

Mid red with slight amber hues. The nose has savoury coffee and very subtle red berry fruits. The palate has some tart acidity, but is dominated by astringent tannins and disjointed fruit flavours. Old world style, this wine doesn’t hit the mark and needs some gentle fining to remove the bitterness of the back palate. - SG

Australia really knows how to make great drinking wines at great prices. This is one such wine - it offers great stewed red berry fruits with a touch of confectionary, while showing varietal Cabernet and Merlot from this great Australian wine region. The palate is clean and simple, dry, smooth and very easy with a touch of tannic cranberry that appears at the last minute! - SG

This wine has clean earthy and medicinal characters, with lifted varietal red capsicum and spirited herbaceous notes. The palate commences with vegetal intensity which hides in the middle palate before showing gentle tannins and a touch of oak at the back. - SG

Margaret River Cabernet can be big meaty monsters that send the French running for the hills ... this wine offers a more austere interpretation of the variety from this great region. There is wonderful new world fruit intensity on the nose and an appropriate amount of oak, but the palate is quite light beyond the front and this makes it a great food wine, perfect for an introduction of Australian wine to the Bordelaise. - SG
