Nicolas Feuillatte Brut NV
Founded in 1971, and already in the top 5 selling Champagne brands around the world, this mighty Champagne house produces one of the region’s most delicate wines.
The assemblage consists of 40% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, and the appearance is a elegant pale gold. Subtle pears, apples and almonds rise from the glass and lead to a refreshingly light and elegant palate. Well done Mr Feuillatte! - DD

Allan Scott Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2009
I was fortunate enough to taste this on release with none other than Josh Scott, son of Allan Scott, recently, and all present commented on how well the wine showed.
Packaged in a brand new, reseal able closure, this lively vintage sparkling will have bubble heads zinging in 2010!
Made entirely from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, the wine exhibits lashings of freshly squeezed limes, interrupted momentarily by a mix of freshly cut grass and breakfast passion fruit.
The wine is clean and fragrant, fresh on the palate, and alive with the varietal acid that you would expect. The bead is fine, and persistent, and adds an extra element of texture to Marlborough Sauv Blanc.
A lighter style sparkling wine, that balances fruit sweetness and acid freshness. -DD

Stella Bella Skuttlebutt Savvy Sauvignon Blanc 2009
This low alcohol drop has the appearance of a pale and creamy lemonade and tastes of concentrated sweet lemonade cordial with hints of nashi pear and whisked egg whites.
In the mouth it fizzes like creaming soda, its lightly bubbly and has a delicate fragrance. A great drop for those wanting to enjoy a wine or two without the concern of the alcohol content, I envisage picnics in the park with great food and fab friends! - EN

Allan Scott Marlborough Blanc de Blancs NV
They say that only the French can make Champagne, and they are right. This wine however creates its own benchmark in the world of sparkling wines. It is endlessly appealing with incredible old world characters that create layers and layers of flavour and length. Complex, refined, varietal, savoury and perfectly balanced, this sparkling has it all. On top of all that it has the intensity to cellar beautifully. - SG
Barossa Belle Sparkling NV
Grapefruit and tropical melon fruit flavours create the basis to this very approachable sparkling. There is some appealing sweetness and some bright acidity (along with a slightly lower alcohol) that makes the clean palate appealing for those hot Australian summer afternoons celebrating with friends. The packaging is very well crafted and the resealable stopper makes it great for picnics or popping back in the fridge to await that second or even third round.
Bethany Chardonnay Pinot Noir Brut Cuvee 2006
With 24 months tirage on lees, expect some complexity in texture and flavour from Bethany's premium sparkling white. It's a blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a delicacy befitting an aperitif, but the edgy lemon notes might have you contemplating some oysters as well... -JP

Finished with a hangman’s hood and packing twine, the Nicole is a dark but mischievous beauty. Gently sparkling, the cabernet is rich and varietal with the promise of some loved fortified to finish it all off. Dark crimson red, the palate is powerful upfront with generous acidity mixed with concentrated blackberry and cocoa. True to form there are also the long and dry Cabernet tannins that stay with you well after the wine has gone. With such love in production there is little doubt that this wine is now in the ranks of the greatest Australian sparkling reds. - SG
Peter Lehmann Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz 2000
Named after the most hauntingly famous Black Queen of all, The Queen of Sheba, its no surprise this classic sparkler is "black but comely." Grown from 40-year-old vines on the outskirts of Nuriootpa, this wine shows off lashings of beautiful soft chocolate and dark plums on the nose. It is superbly developed, with richness, softness and a delicious yeast complexity. Try it with egg and bacon pie or baked honey-glazed ham." - DN
