Purple Palate

The Savvy is a Sauvignon Blanc custom built for those who like it a little sweet. Delicately bubbled (or, 'frizzante', as the Italians say), relatively low in alcohol, and with a playful dose of residual sugar, the ripe tropical/citrus profile of quality Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc takes on an element of lemonade, mandarin spray, guava and tangy grapefruit. With its balancing, acidic energy and a soda-like texture, the finish is surprisingly light and moreish, with lingering, creamy gooseberry aromas. It provides a rare match for spiced dishes. -NT
