Sourced from 96 year old Shiraz Vines in the Barossa, this is a savoury beauty with sweet fruited highlights and a great mouthfeel. The Shiraz is co-fermented with 4% Viognier, adding heady aromatics and complex textural qualities. Blue and black fruits, floral notes, star anise, fried bacon fat and spice. It will only get more interesting from here. -

says:Wild-fermented, it offers up a sexy bouquet of floral notes, bacon, smoked meat, incense and blueberry. Dense, sweet and layered on the palate, it will offer much pleasure over the next 8-10 years. It does not get much better than this from the 2007 vintage. The Standish Wine Company is quickly becoming one of the Barossa Valley's benchmarks.
