Purple Palate

The Faith is one of Australia's regionally synonymous wines, inextricably a part of the Barossa. Year on year, this culmination of St Hallett's available fruit provides a picture of place and time, with a style of generosity and fruitiness that has made it very much the People's Choice. Red and black berries, sweet chocolate and liquorice are held together by soft tanins and evident acidity, and graced by subtle complexities. In 2009 it cuts a typical path, delivering a broad, bold palate with details of chewy cranberry, soft plumb and mocha. -Ed.
