Purple Palate

Made from one of the very few black grapes with coloured juice, this immensely popular wine is such a hit in Spring and Summer – and any hot day! Having coloured juice means that you do not need skin contact and maceration to extract colour. No maceration also means low tannin, and as such the resultant wine is soft and slurpable. The nose oozes cherries. It’s unforgettable and easily recognizable nose leads into a supple, juicy palate, finishing clean and crisp, with a hint of fruit sweetness. Gluggable. -DD
