Purple Palate

This wine presented me with a challenge. Verdelho is considered a fantastic stepping stone from Sauvignon Blanc to heavier varieties like Viognier or Chardonnay. Although not a fan of Sauv Blanc, I actually found Robert Channon's Verdelho very tasty. Nectarine, lime and lemon line the palate with a noticeable amount of minerality and good acid balance. Lovely wine, would match Thai food well. Really round mouthfeel - exactly what you want to look for in a fruity white wine. - DJ
