Eden Valley produces some of Australia’s most luscious Shiraz. This wine is the second tier in the Poonawatta range and it is powerful and seamless beyond belief. Baby to ‘The 1880’ Shiraz – The Cuttings Shiraz is a worthy sibling. Rich blackcurrant and black briar followed by rhubarb, eucalypt and white pepper all mix on the palate with some supporting oak and smooth sweet tannins that leave you in no doubt as to the extreme fruit quality that was used to make this wine. -SG
