Leabrook Estate's flagship is one of the shining lights in the wave of quality Pinot coming out of the Adelaide Hills. Characteristic of the region, it is centred around a core of raw, pithy black cherries. Toatsy oak, dark earth and bitter leaves lay amid these primary flavours like the layers of a dessert truffle. Sticky, sappy and with racy acidity, this is a mature Pinot, finishing with tannins of dry cocoa and herbs.-NT
