Purple Palate

Cabernet Franc offers the typically herbal, chocolate, and dark berry flavours of its bretheren, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Often considered too 'uptight' for the Australian palate, Leabrook produces this one stoically, shaped with proud, grippy tannins and nervy structure. The powerful fruit delivers a pungent, powdery nose of strawberry sherbert, cedar and cocoa. The palate is immense and deceptively savoury, with cherry-ripe, liquorice, and dried herb notes.
