The intensity of this storied wine jumps from the glass, almost begging you to “take it on”. Aromas of blueberries and plums, with a touch of violets lead to a rich and full flavour sensation. The wine keeps on going and going and going. Langmeil’s cellar rating guide suggests the 2003 is transitioning from its “juvenile” stage and is just beginning to develop more secondary characters. It has a long life ahead – if you can resist pulling the cork! - JL
