I was lucky enough to taste the 1999 recently from the enomatic machine at Bar Barossa. I was struck by the density of its crimson colour and depth of blackberry flavours that were still juicy and full of power. Aromas of smoked meats, prunes and tar lingered as I returned to the glass to the realisation I was tasting something very special. It made me appreciate this wine even more to think that the 1999 vintage was a challenge due to unseasonal rains at vintage. Limited Stock. -JL
