Purple Palate

The Holy Trinity is a wine that needs little introduction. A Southern Rhone-styled blend with one of the country's most distinctive bottles, its real fame is derived from Grant Burge's unbroken dedication to the personality of this famous GSM. The vines from which this fruit is sourced range from 50 to 120 years old, as much can quickly be deduced from the extraordinary depth of flavour and complexity. Typical grenache characters of cherry and redcurrants are beset on a bed of leather, cedar, blackberry and savoury liquorice-strap. It finishes long and with plenty of unfolding layers which are sure to come to the fore with a little time under the house. -Ed.
