Purple Palate

From the extreme South of the Barossa Valley, the Corryton Park vineyard in brimming with old vines and history. Grant Burge's pursuit of the finest Valley Cabernet ended here in 1999, with the acquisition of this heralded site. Displaying typical notes of tobacco, cocoa and mint over blackcurrants and plumb, with a silky mouth-feel and enduring tannins, yhe 2009 has particular complexity and fragrance, as well as a promising profile of urgent acidity that will hold it in good stead in the cellar. -Ed.
