There's a lot of savoury complexity on display in this Shiraz from Glenpara. It's right in the zone right now but it will hold for a little while yet. Blackberries and plums stand up well to the char and tar treatment and keep a nice fruit sweetness in contrast to some soy sauce and meaty notes. The tannin structure is hard to fault, delineating the flavours with aplomb. It's a very different expression of Barossa Shiraz but it's none the worse for it; a nice "change up" of a wine actually. -JP

 says:

A lot of toasty oak spice here; it really dominates the fruit on the nose but the palate tells the full story, one that will hopefully play out on the nose in time. Juicy, rich and ripe Barossa blackberry and tar shiraz with chocolate, roasted nut and spice flavours sliding through the finish. Supple and full of fleshy promise.
