Purple Palate

Minimal oak allows the purity of the Hawkes Bay fruit to express itself in a Chardonnay that will accompany a wider range of foods than heavier examples. Stonefruits, hay, and freshly baked sourdough bread emanate subtly from the glass and are all echoed faithfully on an elegant palate. A touch of nougat sweetness adds interest and the acidity is soft and integrated. A Chardonnay made for the table, food and company. -JP
