Purple Palate

Biodynamic Adelaide Hills grapes were open fermented, slightly aged in oak and bottled using minimal additives. A rather 'heady' wine, it opens into tart strawberry and plum flavours. Smooth, gentle raspberry notes sit well on top. Interestingly, it is allowed to slightly oxidise before bottling. This helps dry, savoury characters evolve. Overall, a relatively easy-drinking wine that is refreshing. The hand-made labels would make it a quirky, fun gift. -DJ
