Domain Barossa Black Tongue Shiraz 2010
- Region Barossa Valley, SA
- Type Red
- Size 750ml
- Alcohol 14.5%
Domain Barossa is devoted to producing heart-stopping, affordable expressions of the valley's classics. The Black Tongue is brash, youthful Barossa Shiraz in its most exlicit form. It nonetheless has the proven structure to please the critics and punters alike; a frequent sell-out which has impressed James Halliday and Winestate in previous vintages. This year's offering is an uncompromised, liquorice and chocolate driven wine for those who find subtlety boring. It has almost the texture and punch of a young vintage port, with flavours of blue and red berries, sherbert, molasses, and a streak of gritty earth, all framed by a year's aging on French and American oak. -NT
