Dom Pierre Perignon Hautvillers Champagne Rose 1998

  • Region Ay, Fr
  • Type Sparkling
  • Size 750ml
  • Alcohol 12.5%
The first perfumed floral notes quickly open up into orange peel and dried fruits, with the characteristics of a well-matured harvest and woody spices. On the palate, the structure is remarkably balanced, precise and sophisticated. The warm, radiant complexity persists and vibrates, barely touched by the subtlest hint of bitterness. -DJ

 says:

Orange-pink. Redcurrant, cherry, dried flowers, botanical herbs and minerals on the nose. Pliant red fruit and poached pear flavors are lifted by smoky minerals benefited greatly from aeration, picking up floral pastille and anise qualities. A rather open-knit version of this always complex bottling, finishing with gentle grip and a suave echo of flowers and smoky minerals.
