Purple Palate

Vibrant pink with a soft purple tinge. Raspberry jubes, cassis, sour cherry and just a hint of forrest floor show themselves on this fresh lively nose. The palate is vibrant and clean with currants and cassis, the acidity shines with lemon zest and in time there is some texture and tannins from the concoction of grape varieties. This is not a big wine, but rewards the consumer with length and depth on the palate, something you would not expect from such a subtle nose. Drink this with a slight chill and savour the complexity that only David Franz could squeeze into such a tight package. -SG
