Craggy Range Zebra Vineyard Pinot Noir 2008

  • Region Central Otago, NZ
  • Type Red
  • Size 750ml
  • Alcohol 14%
A light earthy currant and brown spice nose is followed by a bitter cherry, talcum powder and black currants. Refreshing, lifted and long lasting, this Pinot Noir has a precious mineral finish that should be savoured to the last sip. - DJ

 says:

The barrel sample of the 2008 Craggy Range Zebra Vineyard Pinot Noir is just a little muffled on the nose although there seems to be ample red-berried fruits here and it clears up with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, fine chewy tannins on the entry, great depth and purity here with succulent ripe plum, pomegranate and bilberry fruit towards the finish. Lovely texture and surfeit with finesse.

 says:

5 Stars “The Craggy Range Zebra Pinot Noir shows a rich and complex bouquet displaying dark cherry, floral, spice and a touch of truffle characters. The palate is beautifully textured with well harmonised acidity and supple, rounded tannins. The wine is generous and well proportioned with a lingering finish. An elegant expression of the Bendigo district.
