Purple Palate

Allan Scott's philosophy for Sauvignon Blanc is simple - clean, ripe fruit makes for great wine. But for this specially sectioned vineyard, which produces Scott's most powerful and interesting fruit, papmering in the winery is increased. Classically driven by tropical fruit, it has an extra dimension that is fleshed out with time in old French Oak barrels, creating unctuous texture and added layers of sophisticated detail. With potential to age, this is a more Sancere-like expression of the grape. -NT
