Purple Palate

I feel like I’m standing in Allan Scott’s vineyard smelling this – it is so varietal and regional. Fresh red cherries and raspberries on the nose, with red berries, cream and a smokiness all playing for attention on the palate. Can see why the judges at New Zealand’s premier wine show handed out a Gold gong. Good value, varietal Pinot. - JL
